Here's the deal. At first, I did not want a Nintendo DS, because I thought it looked stupid and I wasn't sure what the point was. Two screens? One is a 'touch screen'? Who cares?
But my wife got me one for my birthday, probably because she couldn't think of anything else. No big deal, I played some Tony Hawk and some Mario Brothers, and then I kind of lost interest.
Until March 21, 2006.
On March 21, 2006, Tetris DS was released to the general public. I got it the same day (it actually was a late birthday present from my mother-in-law), and have been playing it every chance I've had since then.
Now, it's not just about Tetris. I like a good game of Tetris as much as anyone, but I can't play it by myself for very long.
Playing against other people, however, is another story.
With the Nintendo DS, you can connect wirelessly to the internet and to the Nintendo Wi-fi system. You can then play against other people, and it keeps track of your overall ranking. Win, and you get a better ranking. Lose, and it gets worse.
I can't stop playing. Must...make...rank...better...
Seriously, this post is a cry for help.
